User Ratings and Reviews

3 Stars Heavy duty - emphasis on the heavy.
This is a very sturdy cane. It’s got a good grip, although it twists easily against the metal, which makes me nervous. I like the adjustable height since I’m also taller than average in addition to being heavy. I like the tip on it; it has a lot of surface area and I feel more secure than I have with other canes. Here’s the “but” - if you’ve got any kind of lifting restriction, you don’t want this cane. It’s heavy. I told my friend something this heavy should come with a motor. The shipping says it’s less than four pounds. Maybe so. I know if anyone comes after me I can wallop them with this - if I can lift it up high enough. :)

5 Stars I wanted a sturdy cane!
I wanted a sturdy cane, and this is it! I didn’t know what “bariatric” meant, so I looked it up. My weight is under 50% of the load limit of this baby.

5 Stars Not your Granny’s cane; this cane has heft!
Ok, I won’t dawdle around. I have to use a cane. The problem I’ve had with other store bought canes is that they did’nt seem strong enough.

Wether wood or aluminum, the cane would bend or break at the collar eventually.

I am 225 lbs (6ft 3inches). Many times with the 2 piece (shank and handle) wood or aluminum I would need to use the cane to help lift my body weight up (if sitting on the floor say) by fully putting/pulling my weight on it. Alas, those canes will stress and break. They were only rated for 300 lbs so’s I was playing it fairly close.

Not with this monster. This is one STURDY cane…solid, 1 piece, all steel…and heavy. Tested for 500lbs stress, THIS cane could pass for a Police Dept Force-Entry tool!

Meets my needs perfectly though it is heavy (takes some getting use to) and lacks any stylish flair in case you wish to “Dr. House” it.

It could also become a fine defensive weapon should you decide to practice some moves. I’m serious, with a practiced forward thrust this cane could smash down doors!

FYI…replacement rubber tip size is: 7/8 inch

5 Stars heavy duty
I use this cane when I go hiking. Its most important features are its heavy duty construction and its low price. Most of the telescoping walking sticks available at sporting goods stores are more expensive and much too flimsy. I’ve seen them literally fold in half when leaned on. On the other hand, Superman couldn’t bend the medline bariatric cane, which can support several hundred pounds. And, incidentally, it packs a whollop like a baseball bat.

5 Stars Solid and sturdy walking aide.
I ordered this cane shortly after I had a knee surgery. I should have ordered it earlier. It has been very helpful in my recovery.

The cane itself is very sturdy and solid. I am a large guy, about 300 lbs, so I needed something a little stronger than normal. It is a little bit weighty itself, but that was easy to get used to. I recommend this to anyone who needs a cane and has strong wrists.
